New Here?

Welcome to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church!

We’re so glad that you’ve decided to visit our website and find out more about who we are and what we do! Across the top of this page, you'll find categories that will help you understand the "what" about Good Shepherd's mission statement to "Be Won. Be One. Be Wanting More." As you make your way through the categories, you'll find information about "our why." This "why" provides insight into the reasons these ministries support the mission statement. Below that, you'll find "the what," or practically what that ministry might look like at Good Shepherd.

The most important things to keep in mind: come as you are (no fancy dresscode or prerequisites), bring the whole family (lots of things to do for all ages!)

If you have any other questions that aren't covered here, feel free to contact us.

Who to Expect

We are men, women, children, plumbers, electricians, businessmen and women, students, teachers, athletes, artist, young, and old, but most of all we are family.

On Sunday mornings, we have traditional worship with piano and occasional special music from our bells, choir or other talented musicians. Bulletins are provided to follow the service as well as large screens during hymns and scripture readings. During our second service, children are dismissed after the children's message at the beginning of service for Sunday School which takes place in the education wing. Parents with children in Sunday School are encouraged to leave during the last hymn to come and meet their children down in the education wing for Sunday School closing. Communion is served during the first, third, and fifth (if applicable) Sundays of the month.

We also have our Sunday morning contemporary worship service. An order of service flyer is provided along with the announcements for the week. Our worship team plays a blend of newer songs as well as older praise and worship songs using piano, guitar, drums and other hand-held instruments. Words are displayed on two large screens to follow along. A children's area is available at the entrance to the sanctuary for younger families, complete with books, soft toys, a play mat, snacks and art materials. Communion is served at every contemporary service. We also have a short time of response during this service after communion where we have a chance to reply to what God is asking us to do, believe or become through His Word.

We would love to see you soon!
