Why we do what we do in Adult Ministry:

Discipleship is a lifelong process. We are never done growing in the word. As such we try to offer courses that prepare adults for continuing discipleship and, ultimately, for making disciples.

Aspects of Adult Ministry:

  • Confidently share your faith with others
  • Learning how to make disciples
  • Pursuing growth in one’s spiritual relationship
  • Taking the faith outside of the church walls

Regular Activities:

Bible Study Opportunities

Women’s Bible Study: Mondays at 7:00pm, led by Liz Bier. This study meets Monday nights from September to the first part of June. Most studies are topical studies related to women, our faith, and our relationships with others. Occasionally other topics are studied as well. An important part of the evening is lifting each other up in prayer.

Wednesday Morning: 10:00am, lead by Pastor Ted

Wednesday Evenings: 6:30pm - 7:30pm, led by multiple people. We offer a variety of classes. Check out our link to see what we’re currently offering, and to view our other Wednesday night programing.

Saturday Morning: 9:30am, led by Al Alwurm

Sunday Morning: 10:15am CONNECTION TIME - opportunities vary by the week.

Other Offerings:

DivorceCare: We periodically offer a divorce support group. See more about this group in our Marriage & Families section.

Older Wiser Learning Seniors (OWLS): This group has a luncheon and speaker on the first Wednesday of each month. This is a group for the 50+ crowd. If you have questions regarding owls, please contact Mary Lou Harris at

Lutheran Women's Missionary League (LWML): Good Shepherd Lutheran Women in Mission became an official part of the LWML  in April 2016. Our focus is on nurturing women through the Word and through fellowship with each other so that we can reach out to make a difference in the lives of others through our service and support of mission projects. We meet quarterly in January, April, July, and October, and have fellowship or service events throughout the year. If you are interested in joining or have questions, contact Liz Bier at
