Serve the Congregation of Good Shepherd
“So guard yourselves and God’s people. Feed and shepherd God’s flock—his church, purchased with his own blood—over which the Holy Spirit has appointed you as leaders." Acts 20:28 (NLT)
The bible tells us that we are to help feed and shepherd God's flock, in addition to our families, communities and the greater world. There are many ways to serve the congregation here at Good Shepherd no matter what your skill set or abilities are.
Some of the opportunities are:
Putting together weekly bulletins
Serving on the fellowship committee
Serving on the altar guild
Helping prepare communion
Signing up on a rotating schedule to clean the church
Ushering on Sunday mornings
Greeting people as they arrive
Baking communion bread
Teaching Sunday School*
Serve in Youth or Children's Ministry*
Leading a Bible study
Signing up to be communion assistants on Sunday morning
Helping with interior and exterior maintenance (including lawn mowing)
Be a scripture reader on Sunday mornings
Serve on a music ministry team
Serve on the board of directors
